ホワイトボード上に黒いマジックで小さな点を書いて、「何が見えますか？」と質問すると、多くの人は「黒い点が見えます」と答えます。ホワイトボードのほとんどが白い部分で、黒はほんの小さな点にもかかわらず、です。
次に、「ほかには何が見えますか？」と質問すると、しばらくして「白いボードが見えます」と答える人が現れます。もう一度質問をしないと、黒い点しか見えなくなっているんですね。
