　台湾の女優、ビビアン・スーさんが「きのうの私はすごくきれいだったのに…」と舞台あいさつで涙ぐんだ。東京国際映画祭の開会式で呼び物になっているグリーンカーペットを歩いての顔見せに参加できなかったのである。邪魔をしたのはもちろん、あの国である。
　▼中国側が、難癖をつけたのはパンフレットの表記。「台湾」を「中国台湾」と変えよ、と開会式直前になって言い出した。あげくの果てには尖閣問題を持ち出して“ミニ反日デモ”を持ちかけたが、台湾側が断ったのは立派だった。
　▼結局、台湾は開会式に出席できなかったが、立派でなかったのは、日本の映画関係者である。なぜ、主催者や監督、俳優の誰一人として彼女らをグリーンカーペットに引っ張り出さなかったのだろう。中国市場から締め出されるのを恐れて黙っていたのなら、夢を売るのが商売の映画人たる資格はない。
